Marketing Communications Coordinator (Part-time) Thriving Generations Employment Agency is a social enterprise with a vision to economically empower and create thriving lives for low income mothers and their children. We are a team with diverse personal and professional backgrounds, a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for utilizing our skills to serve others. We have a growing list of reputable business partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join an early stage social enterprise to play an integral role in our rapid growth and development, building on the strong model we have created. We’re looking for a self-starter and team player to support our growing agency. Working closely with our Chief Encouragement Officer (CEO), you will contribute to the development of promotional collateral. An integral part of this position is producing content for both print and Web, including brochures and newsletters. We’re looking for someone who is grounded and organized, and wants to work in a rewarding start-up environment to pitch in and support our growth. Your proven organizational skills will enable you to build on the employment model we have developed and assume additional responsibilities as you gain internal and stakeholder support. Responsibilities:     

Coordinate print content, public relations and social media Develop a social media strategy Coordinate email campaigns Write press releases Create promotional collateral

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications: 

    

Post-secondary diploma required, preference for post-secondary degree in Communications/Marketing or suitable combination of education and experience Excellent business writing skills Knowledge and understanding of social media vehicles Problem solving and organizational skills; attention to detail is imperative Have the ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service-oriented communication Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    

Advanced knowledge in graphic design software and social media is required A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development Able to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and operate as a team player on a multi-disciplinary team. Excellent communication skills. A true passion for the work we do, and making a meaningful social contribution.
