TITLE: Marketing & Communications Coordinator REPORTS TO: Operations Manager FULL-TIME: 32-40 hours per week SALARY: DOQ The American Indian Cancer Foundation is committed to reducing cancer burdens for American Indians through education, improved access to prevention, early detection, treatment and survivor support. The MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR will spearhead efforts to expand existing brand and increase AICAF profile. S/He will support multiple staff to coordinate the production, design, and distribution of educational and promotional materials and marketing across multiple communication channels (print, website, social media). RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ●

Lead role in organizational marketing, communications and promotional efforts. Develop and implement strategies to enhance marketing, communications and branding. Coordinate the production, design, and distribution of promotional materials and marketing across multiple communication channels (print, website, social media). Assist in planning organizational events. Develop media tracking system to measure success of marketing and communications activities. Coordinate media interest in public relations and maintain contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests. Manage image and branding materials, including trademarks, logos and graphic standards. Support multiple staff across several projects (ie. public health prevention, early detection and fundraising) while maintaining the organizational brand. Additional duties of similar complexity will occasionally be required.

Preferred Background and Skills ● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field with a solid understanding of communications and/or marketing plus 1 year experience. ● Successful track record in communications or marketing and ambition to learn more. ● Demonstrated understanding of cultural communication with American Indian communities. ● Experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus. ● Proven expertise efficient printing technologies, procedures and guidelines. ● Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening and the ability to communicate clearly, powerfully and effectively both orally and in writing. ● Self-starter with ability to prioritize and carry out concurrent projects on deadline. ● Able to work independently and in a team setting in a fast-paced environment. ● Proven problem-solver. ● Available to work flexible hours as needed to get the work done. ● Abstinence from commercial tobacco and illegal drugs. ● Strong passion for the mission and vision of the organization.
