Paid Marketing Internship Internship Length: Summer – December 2016 Education: Currently enrolled college sophomores, juniors, and seniors Location: North Haven, CT Company: Connex Credit Union is a full-service financial institution with 7 branch locations Job Description: The primary function of this position is to assist Connex Credit Union in achieving its mission of “Improving the lives of our members…One member at a time.” This internship requires a highenergy local college student in their sophomore, junior or senior year, able to work in a fast-paced and professional business environment. Knowledge of social media is required. Key Responsibilities: As the Marketing Intern, you will be a part of a dynamic marketing team working as an ambassador for Connex Credit Union and the “Unbank” brand. In this position, you will: • Serve as a “spokesperson” for the credit union participating in various events • Develop social media programs and content for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and blogging • Help to develop and execute a strategy to promote video content to a broad audience beyond the current Connex membership • Be exposed to and participate in every aspect of a working marketing department including mailings, data entry and other duties as assigned • Interact with Connex Credit Union’s advertising and public relations agency as needed • Participate in special events and grassroots marketing efforts such as our Annual Meeting • Have a flexible schedule. Hours will be primarily during the day, however candidate should be available for occasional evening and weekend events. • Be willing to think outside the box and develop the position into your own • Generate new ideas and think strategically • Track and analyze results on all internship driven projects Interns must work a minimum of 15 hours per week for the internship period and have a desire to learn and participate.
