MATHEMATICS STANDARDS ADVISORY PANEL SUBCOMMITTEE TO MEET (Frankfort, KY) – A subcommittee of the Mathematics Standards Advisory Panel (AP) will meet Wednesday, March 21 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. ET and Thursday, March, 22 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. ET at the Bush Building, 403 Wapping Street in Frankfort. Senate Bill 1 (2017) calls for the Kentucky Department of Education to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments beginning in the 2017-18 school year. The current schedule calls for one or two content areas to be reviewed each year and every six years after that on a rotating basis. The Mathematics Standards AP subcommittee is comprised of 11 members including elementary, middle and high school teachers, members from postsecondary education, and representatives from the Kentucky business community.
