MEDIA RELEASE AUSTRALIAN DANCE THEATRE ANNOUNCEMENT 24 July 2018 Australian Dance Theatre (ADT) announced today that Executive Director Shaun Comerford will be leaving the company in October to move closer to family in Queensland and to take up a new role as Executive Director of Circa Contemporary Circus in Brisbane. ADT Chair, Kim Boehm, expressed his sincere thanks to Shaun for his leadership and vision. “Shaun has made an extremely significant and valuable contribution during arguably the most exciting time in ADT’s 53-year history,” said. Mr. Boehm. “In his three years at the helm, Shaun has overseen a period of tremendous growth including the expansion of ADT’s national and international performance program, formation of new partnerships, ADT’s landmark move to its new home at The Odeon and of course, most recently, the inaugural Adelaide Dance Festival.” Mr. Comerford said it had been a privilege to work with ADT. “I am very proud of what the team at ADT has achieved during my tenure and it will be sad to leave,” said Mr. Comerford. “However, with young children, the time is right to move closer to our extended family in Queensland and I will look forward to watching ADT go from strength to strength.” Mr. Boehm said the Board has already commenced the search for a new Executive Director.
