MEDICAID EXPANSION IN PENNSYLVANIA
T
he Medicaid expansion has made it possible for more Pennsylvanians to access health care than ever before. As of April 2016, the expansion had reached 625,970 newly eligible Pennsylvanians, ages 18 to 64. Data shows that one-third of newly eligible people across all ages are white women, and Pennsylvanians living in both rural and urban areas benefited from the expansion.
