When purchasing/registering a membership for any person less than 18 years of age, parent or guardian must complete and sign the membership form prior to processing or admittance to the facility. The parent or guardian must be present to submit the form. Persons less than 18 years of age are not permitted to bring guests to the facility. All fees, including daily fees are non-refundable except as indicated by the Refund Policy available at the Recreation Office. Proof of residency is required for all persons on each membership category. Any of the following items will be accepted as proof or residency: non-expired driver’s license; or a photo id and utility or credit card bill showing your name at current address issued within 90 days; a property tax bill from within the last year or original lease agreement with your name listed as the lessee. The Department of Human Services has a published Code of Conduct. Pool and Tennis Facility patrons are expected to adhere to the philosophy toward the enhanced enjoyment of the facility for all. All members and guests are required to abide by Municipal Swim Pool Complex regulations stipulated in the Township Of Ocean ordinance 14-10. Township of Ocean Pool and Tennis Facility Membership Registration 601 Deal Road, Ocean, NJ 07712 Department of Human Services 732-531-2600 All information on the front of the membership form must be completed prior to processing application. Membership must be paid in full prior to accessing the facility. Checks payable to: Township of Ocean. Mail, or drop off to: Recreation Office, 601 Deal Road, Ocean NJ 07712, or bring to facility when open. Facility Hours of Operation: Facility opens Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. Open 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. all weekends & holidays; 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. weekdays that correspond to Township of Ocean Schools’ half days and 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. daily from the day following the last day of Township of Ocean School through Labor Day. As of August 14 the facility will close at 7:30 p.m. and as of August 21 the facility will close at 7:00 p.m. Please note that if Township of Ocean Schools open prior to Labor Day, the facility operating schedule will be adjusted accordingly. Facility is open at times noted weather and time of sunset permitting. Daily Admittance: Residents of the Township of Ocean, with acceptable identification (non-expired driver’s license; or photo id and utility or credit card bill showing your name at current address issued within 90 days; a property tax bill from within the last year or original lease agreement with your name listed as the lessee), who choose not to purchase a membership, can access the facility by showing acceptable id and paying the established daily rate for each visit. Resident seniors, 62 years or older, with acceptable identification are entitled to reduced daily rates at the facility. Non-residents of the Township of Ocean can gain entrance by purchasing a membership or as a guest of a Township resident or facility member. The guest host must be present at the gate at the time of entrance. Badges: Registrants will be issued a bar coded badge. Bring the badge each time you visit the facility. The bar code will be scanned to indicate your membership status. Memberships: Individual: available to persons twelve years of age and over, note that persons must be eighteen years or older to bring in guests. Two (2) Persons: both applicants must permanently reside at same residence. Family Membership: may include up to two (2) adults and all natural or adopted children unmarried and under 22 years of age. There is no charge for children under 24 months of age, as of May 15th. All members must permanently reside at same residence. Senior Citizen Individual: for persons 62 years of age or older, proof of age required. Senior Citizen Two (2) Person: both applicants must permanently reside at same residence. Married couples in which one spouse is 62 years or older are eligible for Senior Citizen Two Person rate. Evening Membership: 50% discount of above noted memberships (excluding Mother’s Helper). Entitles member use of facility Monday – Friday, 4:00 p.m. to closing. Also allows weekend access by paying established daily rate. Resident Non-Member: Entitles access to facility by paying established daily rate for Township of Ocean residents registered into Community Pass. Active Duty Military and Military Veteran: In order to qualify for the active-duty military or military veteran membership, appropriate military documentation (current ID showing active duty or veterans form DD-214) must be provided at the time of registration. The waiver of the membership fees for this category applies to seasonal memberships only. No daily waivers will be granted. Includes family members as described in above membership categories. Guest Policy: Facility members and resident non-members who are eighteen years old and over are entitled to bring guests to the facility. The member or resident non-member host must meet the guest at the front entrance. Guests are not permitted to enter the facility to locate their member hosts. Guest rates are listed below. Generally, each membership is limited to six guests per day. It is permissible to have more than six guests per day by speaking with a facility manager in advance to arrange for entry tickets for your guests, or to reserve a picnic area. Guest cards are available for purchase by facility members at $30.00/card. Each card represents five guest visits.
