Council Item 5.E – Niles Surplus Properties General Plan Amendment and Rezoning

Staff received a phone call this morning from the Alameda County Water District (ACWD) regarding the Niles Surplus Properties item on the City Council agenda tomorrow night. ACWD expressed concern with the location of the proposed property line for the G Street parcel and provided staff with a copy of an agreement dated October 7, 1975, between the City and ACWD and a Grant of Easement recorded on November 3, 1975, related to groundwater recharge activities in the vicinity of the parcel. In order to address ACWD’s concerns, staff is requesting that the City Council continue the item to a date to be determined. A public hearing notice will be provided.
