The MIPDoc International Pitch is open to all creators and producers seeking co-production partners to develop their documentary and factual projects. For Commissioning editors: The MIPDoc International Pitch is a unique opportunity to discover new factual and documentary projects from creators and producers at the leading edge in their field. Selected applicants pitch live to an international jury. For producers: it is a chance to showcase and promote new ideas in front of commissioners, distributors and journalists and gain recognition from the international factual programming community. Five of the best applications received will be pitched live in front of an international Jury. The live pitch session will gather an audience of producers, distributors and journalists from around the world. Selection criteria: Innovation and originality The MIPDoc International Pitch will only feature projects, i.e. non-aired programmes with originality and overall appeal in storytelling techniques, characters, look, story and themes. International appeal The MIPDoc International Pitch will only feature projects with potential to be developed and aired to an international audience. Saturday 5 April 2014: finalists pitch at MIPDoc in front of an international Jury of commissioning editors and the jury will select the winning project.
