Mission The Graduate Net Initiative, made possible by a U.S. Department of Education Promoting Postbaccalaureate Opportunities to Hispanic Americans (PPOHA) grant, seeks to serve the campus and community by expanding access to our postbaccalaureate academic programs and support services. Our mission is to harness technology to realize equity of access and of outcomes for Hispanic and other under-represented students while bolstering the ability of all our graduate students to succeed academically and professionally.

Available at www.fresnostate.edu/ academics/graduatenet/ Graduate Statistics Studio A peer consultant service offering both face-to-face and digital assistance to master’s and doctoral students in the development of statistical data sets and the application of statistical methods. Graduate Writing Studio Expanded digital hours at the Graduate Writing Studio, your one-stop shop for assistance with graduate-level writing, including one-on-one writing consultations, graduate writing groups, and workshops on academic writing. Graduate Student Success Workshops Led by a Dedicated Graduate Mentor on topics such as conference etiquette and effective research presentations.

Graduate Transition

Graduate Research Fellowship Supports high-quality, high-impact graduate research in any field of study. The fellowship offers $500 in direct financial support and up to $1500 for conference presentations and/or research development.

Graduate Application Support Our Graduate Outreach Specialist assists prospective students with navigating the graduate application process and serves as a liaison between Graduate Program Coordinators and the prospective student.

Graduate Travel Grant Helps defray the cost of presenting research papers or posters at major conferences or society meetings. The grant offers up to $1500 on a competitive basis.

Successful Transition into Graduate School (STRINGS) A year-long cohort program focused on helping Hispanic or other minority, firstgeneration, and/or returning students transition successfully into graduate school. Offers $500 in direct financial support and a series of resources proven to lead to graduate school success.

Graduate Research Grant Helps defray the cost of conducting research associated with a student’s thesis, dissertation, or culminating project. The grant offers up to $1000 on a competitive basis.

Graduate Resource Support Our Graduate Outreach Specialist assists both prospective and current students get connected with campus resources and services.
