About the Mobile Library... Adults are encouraged to use the Mobile Library at all stops listed, including school stops. Loan period: Most items are checked out for four weeks. All materials, except best sellers, may be renewed one time. Requesting books: If you don't see what you want on the Mobile Library's shelves, ask about it. Call the library if you want to change the pick-up stop for requested books. Library card: You need a Kanawha County Public Library card to check out materials on the Mobile Library. You may register for a library card on the Mobile Library if you do not have one. Your first library card is free. There is a charge for a replacement card.
Book returns & fines: Books borrowed from the Mobile Library may be returned to any Kanawha County Public Library system location. Books borrowed from other locations may be returned to the Mobile Library. Fines on overdue materials are 10¢ per day per item. If the Mobile Library is unable to meet the scheduled stop, an alternate vehicle may be sent to deliver and pick up materials. If library materials are lost or damaged, you will be charged a fee based on the price of the item plus a processing fee.
