November 2016 EMPLOYMENT TRENDS

Year-over-year nonfarm employment is up 30,900, or 2.2 percent. The region’s leisure and hospitality industry saw another month of growth, adding 1,700 jobs in November, as well as the largest year-over-year gains with 7,300 jobs. Health and social services added 4,400 jobs, while manufacturing lost 900 jobs over the year.
