8 Week Course Date Changes

Please note the following date changes going into effect this spring. The drop deadline for 8 week courses has been moved to the Sunday of week 1 and the no-show deadline to the Sunday of week 2. This now aligns dates within 8 and 16 week courses.

NEW No-Show Process

Starting the spring 2017 semester, you will notice some changes with how you report no-shows. While the Federal No-Show Policy itself is not changing, a couple things within Peru State College’s no-show process are. Changes: • The 8 week course no-show deadline will change from the Sunday of week 1 to the Sunday of week 2 (now correlates with 16 week courses) • Reporting will no longer be done by email, but instead through your MyPSC account Staying the Same: • Instructors will still be expected to send warning emails to their students at risk of being reported (and copying Distance Ed.), Friday before the deadline • It is mandatory for instructors to report for all of their courses, whether there are students to report as noshows or all students are in compliance, Monday following the deadline • The process for hybrid courses will remain the same. If you are teaching a hybrid and meet before the deadline, face-to-face attendance would fulfill the no-show requirement. Faculty directions for the new process can be found here: Reporting No-Shows using Correction Rosters.
