Over the past five years the Zips have claimed 27 Mid-American Conference titles and consistently represented UA in NCAA championship events, including the men’s soccer team participating in the NCAA College Cup National Championship again in 2015—after winning the national crown in 2010. Three of our student athletes have also won five individual national championships and some are even participating in the 2016 Summer Olympics! Today, UA fields 18 NCAA Division 1-A men’s and women’s varsity teams. Student athlete competitors demonstrate success both inside the classroom and on the field. In fact, UA was named the 2015-16 Mid-American Conference Reese Trophy winner as the league’s top men’s athletics program. Remember, UA students get free admission to all home games with their Zip Card! So whether you’re a student-athlete or AK-Rowdie super-fan, UA has a stellar program worth cheering about.
