SAFE-BioPharma Partnership Named Winner of HHS "Move Health Data Forward Challenge" TEANECK, N.J. (November 7, 2016) – The Department of Health and
Humans Services’ Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) named a proposal from SAFEBioPharma, Resilient Network Systems and WebShield, Inc. as a Phase 1 winner of the Move Health Data Forward Challenge. The competition identifies ways to enable consumers to share their personal health information safely and securely with their health care providers, family members or other caregivers. SAFE-BioPharma partnered with Resilient Network Systems, WebShield Inc., Carebox ,and InterSystems to create a solution that gives consumers the ability to conveniently access and share their own health records on demand. The solution will demonstrate a unique nationwide capability to conveniently verify a consumer’s identity, locate and electronically request a consumer’s records, and deliver them to a secure cloud-based personal storage service. SAFE-BioPharma® is the global information security standard assuring trust in participating cyber identities. The standard has been protecting the privacy of individuals and institutions since introduced in 2005. Its use enables the secure exchange of information in a trusted cyber environment.
