Join us on Thursday for the Murphy Alumni Summer Meet & Mingle! Come enjoy appetizers and drinks, mingle with fellow Murphy Alumni, and learn about how you can be involved with DMSF and the DMSF Alumni Committee in the upcoming year! Help us reignite and build the alumni network! All alumni are welcome - please tell your friends! Thursday, June 22nd 6:15pm - 8:30pm Walter Lab, Goodman Theatre 170 North Dearborn Street

RSVP GET INVOLVED JOIN THE ALUMNI COMMITTEE We're re-igniting the Alumni Committee! The Alumni Committee will be involved in planning alumni events, building the DMSF Alumni Network, and recruiting greater alumni involvement. We will be hosting our next open meeting on Thursday, July 13th from 6-8pm. We'd love to have you join us to see what it is all about! Please RSVP here!

BECOME A MENTOR We are looking for individuals to volunteer their time to help DMSF scholarship recipients achieve a positive scholastic journey throughout high school. With the help of a mentor, scholars learn life skills and receive the guidance necessary to be successful in high school and beyond. Please email Paul Morgan at [email protected] if you are interested in becoming a Murphy Scholar's mentor.

DONATE TO THE SCHOLAR EXCHANGE The DMSF Parent Committee is organizing a Scholar Exchange. We are accepting donations of gently used business clothes, uniforms, sports gear, and books. Please stop into the office to drop off anything you have laying around that you could pass on to the next generation of Murphy Scholars! You can drop off your donations at the DMSF Office (309 W Washington, Suite 1250) on Wednesday, June 21st from 37pm. Please email Megan at [email protected] if you'd like to arrange another time to drop off donations.

VOLUNTEER AT THE SUMMER PICNIC DMSF is hosting its annual Summer Picnic on Saturday, August 19th at McKinley Park. We are looking for volunteers to assist with set-up and roles during the picnic itself. Please email Alicia DeLaRosa at [email protected] if you would like more information about volunteering.

OPPORTUNITIES DMSF Education Department Administrative Assistant Join the DMSF team! We're looking for a part-time administrative assistant to join the Education Department. Please review the job description here. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to Willow Walker, Associate Director of Education - Admissions, at [email protected].

Year Up Chicago Year Up Chicago is now accepting applications for their Fall 2017 cohort. This is a year-long program for ages 18-24.The final deadline is June 26. Students will choose one of 4 educational tracks: Business Operations, Financial Operations, IT, or Sales and Customer Support.Visit their website for more information.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT... Please welcome the Class of 2017 to the Murphy Alumni Network! 78 graduating seniors are now Murphy Alumni. Last week, we celebrated all of their successes at the 2017 Senior Celebration. We would also like to thank the Murphy Alumni that came back to talk to the graduating senior class about their college experiences and share their advice. It was great to see older Murphy Alumni supporting the newest group of alums! Any updates? We would love to hear about what you have been up to recently.
