Foreword by the joint chairs of the System Leaders Forum, Together A Healthier Future Programme We are looking forward to this opportunity to share some of the stories of people working across the Pennine Lancashire area, in some of the most innovative ways. Times are tough at the moment in terms of the financial pressure everyone is under but that does not mean we should not celebrate good practice. Together with the voluntary and third sector, the health and care community, and inspired by individuals within their own communities, we are all trying to work together to make better use of our assets and resources to improve people’s health and wellbeing. We can all play a part in making Pennine Lancashire healthier. The event is for everyone who has an interest in health and social care and what the future holds. We urge everyone to come down and see what there is to offer. It is part of a new project where NHS and local councils in Pennine Lancashire - made up of East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen - are working together to build upon and improve the way health and social care is delivered in the area. Presentations, short films, singing, comedy, drumming and dancing, will be used to illustrate examples of stories impacting positively on people. Dr Phil Huxley, Chair of East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group Graham Burgess, Chair of Blackburn with Darwen Clinical Commissioning Group
