Myanmar is one of the most magical and undiscovered destinations in the world: a golden land of breathtaking beauty and charm that is steeped in fascinating history and traditions. You will never forget the experience of Inle Lake, Kalaw, Mandalay and mountains of Bagan. Day 1: Arrive Yangon transfer Welcome upon arrival at Yangon International airport and transfer to the hotel. After hotel check in, the rest of the day is free to relax. Overnight in Yangon Day 2: Yangon sightseeing, Yangon to Heho flight and Inle Lake transfer Breakfast at the hotel. Start our morning our sightseeing with the awe-inspiring Shwedagon Pagoda which towers over all of Yangon. Continue to Yangon downtown area and from there we walk along the Pansodan street which has many large colonial buildings which are still in use. It is also interesting to see the sidewalk markets including those selling old books and magazines dated from the 1960’s up to the present. And then go to reclining Buddha Chaukhtatgyi this huge 70 meter reclining Buddha is one of Myanmar’s largest and you can also get your fortune told by the fortune tellers who have shops nearby. Lunch time break After lunch break, check out the hotel and drive to the airport to take late afternoon flight to Heho . Arrive Heho airport and drive to unique and magical Inle Lake, located about 900 meters above sea level and 22 km long by 11 km wide (about one hour drive). Arrive Nyaung Shwe jetty and check in at the hotel. Overnight at Inle Lake Day 3: Inle Lake sightseeing Breakfast at the hotel. Visit morning market if the market if not too far to reaches we will visit it depending on where the 5 day moving market is in relation to our hotel location. Today we start our sightseeing by long tailed boat. Sightseeing highlight includes Fishermen & Floating gardens as you travel around the lake you will see many floating gardens made of grass and seaweed which are used for growing vegetables and also fisherman who row with a unique one-legged style. Visit local villages on stilts enjoy a peaceful trip down the smaller waterways of the lake to see the ways of life of the lake villages on stilts. Ngaphae Chaung monastery travel by long tailed boat to visit a monastery on the lake. Overnight at Inle Lake.

Day 4: Shwe Naung- to Aung Ban by train and visit Myinmathi Cave Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will transfer to Shwe Nyaung station to take a local train to Aung Ban. Train departs Shwe Nyaung about 0830 and arrive Aung Ban 1050. Our car will follow to pick us up at the station and continue drive to Kalaw. Kalaw sits high on the western edge of the Shan Plateau and was a popular hill station in the British times. It is still a peaceful and quiet place with an atmosphere remnant of colonial era. On the way, visit Myinmahti natural cave about 13 km from Aung Ban in which houses has a lot of Buddha images and small stupas awaits you to be pleased. Overnight in Kalaw Day 5: Kalaw to Mandalay by air Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to airport in Heho. Internal flight to Mandalay. Arrive in Mandalay and continue sightseeing starting from ancient capital of Amarapura. It was the royal capital from 1783-1863. At Amarapura we will visit U Bein Bridge this is the longest teakwood structure in the world at 1.2 km long and is still in active use today. (If we have enough time we will visit Bronze making craftshops.). 1200: Lunch time break at one of the local restaurant After lunch continue our visit to another ancient capital of Inwa the capital for nearly 400 years in 15th – 19th centuries. Upon arrival travel down tree-lined paths by horse cart (can be a bit bumpy) to enjoy the beauty and sights of scenic Inwa. Sightseeing includes in Inwa are Manu Ok kaung. A yellow stucco monastery which was the only stucco monastery built in Inwa times (early18th to 19th century) and is beautifully designed. Bagaya Kyaung Monastry a small but beautiful wooden monastery still in use for teaching young monks and famous for the enormous teakwood pillars of the foundation. The Leaning Tower of Inwa a small watch tower which leans to the side, as the leaning tower of Pizza does in Italy and can be climbed up for a nice view. Drive back to Mandalay and overnight. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 6: Mingun sightseeing and Mandalay sightseeing Breakfast at the hotel. Morning transfer to Mandalay jetty where we take a short and pleasant ride upriver to Mingun, the site of what would have been the world’s largest pagoda had not King Bodawpaya died in 1819 thus halting all further work. The Ayeyarwaddy River. The ride by boat on the river to reach the pagoda is about one hour and provides a colorful glimpse of harbor and river life around Mandalay. Mingun pagoda located about 11 km upriver from Mandalay on the Western bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River, this unfinished pagoda stands 50 meters high and is a massive and impressive brick structure, partially split by and earthquake in 1838. Mingun bell this 90 ton bell was meant to hang on the pagoda and it is the largest uncracked hanging bell in the world. Return back to Mandalay and lunch time break. After lunch break, continue our sightseeing tour of Mandalay includes Goldleaf making, Tapestry making & wood carving - visit the craft shops to see the skilled workers making gold leaf, ornate tapestry and lovely wood carvings. Kuthodaw Pagoda this pagoda complex is also known as the ‘world largest book’ since it contains the entire Buddhist scriptures on 729 marble slabs. Shwenandaw monastery (golden palace monastery) a magnificent wooden monastery dating back to 1879 and built with teak from the former royal palace. If time permits Mandalay Hill for a view over the city and Ayeyarwaddy River. Overnight in Mandalay. Day 7: Mandalay to Bagan by river Note: Boat service not available during May - October due to low water level. Cruise: (ETD 0500 HRS / ETA 1800 HRS) Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning departure from Mandalay Port for a fascinating journey on board the local Mandalay Bagan express boat service. You will travel for a whole day along the fabled Ayeyarwady River enjoying the sights and sounds of the river life and just relaxing. Arrive at Bagan and transfer to the hotel. We may do some sightseeing if we arrive in time. Lunch with lunch box on board. Overnight in Bagan

Day 8: Bagan sightseeing Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit Phya Saw Village enjoy a walkabout in a village where you can see the traditional ways of life still carried on such as weaving cotton by hand, grinding peanut oil with oxen, the care of various farm animals etc. Visit some local homes and observe local people life by chatting with them. And then enjoy sightseeing tour of one of Asia’s most popular archeological destinations. Highlights includes a few of Bagan’s distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon, a prototype of later Myanmar stupas; Wetkyi-in- Gubyaukgyi, a 13th century ‘cave temple with interesting fine frescoes; and Ananda Pagoda, one of the finest, largest and best preserved in Old Bagan. And then visit Ananda Ok Kyaung formerly a monastery, it has 18th century wall paintings. In late afternoon enjoy horse drawn carriage ride among the temples and at sunset go to the upper terraces of one of the to enjoy another memorable view over the temples and pagodas. Overnight in Bagan. Day 9: Bagan sightseeing Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we are off for panoramic morning view over all Bagan from Minnanthu temple, Shwesandaw temple, or Damayasaka temple according to your locations and guides. And then continue more pagodas and temples. Manuha Temple built by King Manuha to represent his displeasure of captivity, Nanpaya close behind the Manuha and which is also Bagan’s first “gu-style” (cave) shrine and next to visit Gubaukgyi Temple, in the old Bagan village of Myinkaba, is an early period temple with well preserved paintings inside. Lunch time break. In the afternoon free time at leisure at your hotel. Overnight in Bagan. Day 10: Baganto Yangon by air Fly back to Yangon and transfer to your hotel in Yangon. Meet on arrival at Yangon airport and transfer to the hotel. After hotel check-in, the reminder of the day is free or continue shopping or sightseeing by clients’ own arrangement. Overnight in Yangon Day 11: Yangon departure Breakfast at the hotel. Free time at leisure until your International departure flight time.
