RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Assistant Director, Admissions & Recruitment (February 2008 – present) University of Delaware English Language Institute ‐ ELI (Newark, DE) – Leading institution in the field of ESL, providing intensive English programs for students, professionals, and general language learners. Oversees the ELI Admissions Department and is responsible for ELI Marketing/Recruitment efforts Main immigration advisor at the ELI o Provides visa advising to students and sponsoring organizations o Interprets F‐1 visa regulations to advise administrators in the development of programs and institutional policies, or to resolve complex visa cases Acts as liaison between ELI and sponsoring organizations and overseas recruitment agents for admissions‐ and visa‐related issues Responsibilities – Duties can be divided into three categories: Student Services o Visa Advising: Advises current/potential students regarding visa regulations as they relate to admissions, maintenance of F‐1 status, ELI policies, and complex cases (i.e., change of status, reinstatement, related Requests for Evidence (RFEs), etc.); SEVIS DSO.
