Objective 1 : Maintain protection and asylum space
National Refugee Law
The National Refugee Law was adopted in December 2016 and promulgated in January 2017. Its dissemination will be undertaken (workshops, distribution of brochures, TV / radio program, etc.).
Most of the stakeholders are familiar with the National Refugee Law.

The two implementing decrees (fundamental rights of refugees and eligibility procedures) have been signed by the Head of State at the Council of Ministers on 7 December 2017. Establishment of a tripartite platform (Ministry of the Interior, ONARS, UNHCR) to facilitate refugees' access to their fundamental rights.

Access to the territory
Enhancement of capacity building of ONARS staff and members of the National Eligibility Commission through protection and RSD trainings to provide them adequate skills to accelerate taking decision on numerous pending asylum seeker cases.
The Refugee Status Determination (RSD) is conducted in compliance with international standards. No cases of refoulement observed in compliance with the principle of nonrefoulement.
