NAWBO KENTUCKY’S 2018 EPIC AWARDS FINALISTS ANNOUNCED EPIC Awards Gala is Set for Thursday, March 1st at Louisville Marriott East Featuring Speaker Mireya Villarreal, International Fashion Icon and Founder of the Brand “Pink Pewter” Louisville, Ky. (February 20, 2018) – The Kentucky Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) has announced its 2018 EPIC Awards finalists. All will be honored at a red-carpet awards event on Thursday, March 1, 5:30 p.m., at the Louisville Marriott East. Tickets are $125 ($99 for NAWBO members) and available at www.nawbokentucky.org. These individuals, along with their company name and city, include: Strive Business Owner of the Year- Businesses in existence for 3-10 years   

“We are thrilled to recognize these incredible women who are making a significant impact in the workforce throughout Kentucky,” said Jesika Young, President of NAWBO Kentucky. “We received more applications than ever for this year’s EPIC awards, which goes to show that women really do ‘mean business.’” Two additional awards will be presented at the event and include Influencer of the Year Award, which will be determined by a live vote based on the message delivered by each finalist in their short presentation, and Member of the Year Award. The 24th annual EPIC Awards will feature speaker, Mireya Villarreal, international fashion icon and founder of the brand “Pink Pewter.” Villareal will speak about her experience building her line of jewelry, accessories and makeup on a national scale. Masters of ceremonies for the evening will be Madison Cork, President/Founder of Cork Communications and Tim Laird, Chief Entertaining Officer for Brown-Forman Corporation. Noted judges of this year’s EPIC awards include: Dr. Sharon Kerrick, Bellarmine University, Dean W.
