NBC 10, WCAU TV is looking for someone to help promote the station at on and offsite events. The primary job description is to execute and cover all NBC 10 branded events on an as needed basis. Responsible for handling NBC 10 merchandising, the NBC 10 mascot, communicating with the viewers, taking photos and uploading and traveling locally as needed.
-Communicating on a weekly basis with Street Team management -Regular and timely attendance -Flexible Schedule must be available nights and weekends -Attend staff meetings as they are assigned -Entertain crowds with games, merchandise giveaways, and communicating Maintain promotional equipment (canopy, tools box, computer, prizes, etc.) -Brand on-air personalities and increase their presence on the streets through community events. -Provide event recap information to Street Team management within 24 hours of the event. -Professional demeanor required at all times. Must be in uniform for all NBC 10 events -Abide by organizational norms and support organizational goals. Remain calm and professional through stressful circumstances. Be persistent and finish projects under deadlines. Follow instructions and take the necessary steps necessary to prevent mistakes. Follow well-defined procedures.
Qualifications for Consideration: Working knowledge of Microsoft, how to work a digital camera, computer and social media. Valid of Pennsylvania Driver’s License Good verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills in English.
Experience and Education:
College student and/or recent graduate Public relations, communications, broadcasting majors preferred Experience in dealing with large crowds. Experience in entertaining people.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms to handle or feel objects, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 + pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
