Race 1 - 1:40pm. THE BETWAY SPRINT HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4)

Permission was given for CAPTAIN LARS (SAF) and TYLERY WONDER (IRE) to go to post early. Approximately 1 furlong out, MOVE IN TIME, placed third, edged marginally right off the rail causing, KNOCKOUT BLOW, placed eighth, to be momentarily eased. However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that it did not involve a riding offence and that it had not improved the placing of MOVE IN TIME. Following the race, Jack Garritty reported that LEXINGTON PLACE, placed third, was denied a clear run 1½ furlongs out. Kevin Stott reported that TANASOQ (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run in the final ½ furlong. Race 2 - 2:10pm. THE 32Red.com NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 3) (PLUS 10 RACE)

An enquiry was held to consider 2 possible instances of interference on the run to the line. In the first instance, WELLIESINTHEWATER (IRE), placed second, ridden by Phillip Makin, drifted left causing OUTSIDE INSIDE (IRE), placed sixth, to be eased. Makin was suspended for 2 days for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to drift left without sufficient correction, causing OUTSIDE INSIDE (IRE) to be checked and prevented from being ridden out to the line In the second instance on the run to the line, TADAAWOL, placed third, ridden by Ben Sanderson, drifted slightly right interfering with INSURPLUS (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Daniel Tudhope. Being a 7lb claimer, Sanderson was offered to be accompanied in the enquiry, but declined. Sanderson was cautioned for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to drift slightly right without sufficient correction. Following the race, Jason Hart reported that AMOOD (IRE), placed seventh, fly lept leaving the stalls. Daniel Tudhope reported that INSURPLUS (IRE), placed fifth, suffered interference approaching the line. P J McDonald reported that OUTSIDE INSIDE (IRE), placed sixth, also suffered interference approaching the line. Race 4 - 3:20pm. THE BETWAY HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 2)

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference from approaching 1 furlong out when the winner STARGAZER (IRE), ridden by Kevin Stott, drifted left and interfered with ISLAND BRAVE (IRE), placed second, ridden by Luke Morris. The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of STARGAZER (IRE), as STARGAZER (IRE) drifted left carrying ISLAND BRAVE (IRE) off its intended line for a considerable distance, preventing ISLAND BRAVE (IRE) from having an uninterrupted run to the line. The Stewards considered that the ground lost by ISLAND BRAVE (IRE) was deemed to be greater than the official winning margin of a nose. The placings were revised as follows: First ISLAND BRAVE (IRE), Second STARGAZER (IRE). Stott was suspended for 2 days for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to drift continually left without correction, taking ISLAND BRAVE (IRE) off its intended line. It was noted that shortly before the line, ISLAND BRAVE (IRE), placed second but subsequently placed first, edged marginally left causing EYE OF THE STORM (IRE), placed third, to be slightly eased. However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that it did not involve a riding offence and that it had not improved the placing of ISLAND BRAVE (IRE). Paul Mulrennan, the rider of NICHOLAS T was unseated on the bend entering the back straight. Mulrennan was unable to be interviewed owing to his injuries but recordings of the incident were viewed in the presence of trainer Jim Goldie. The Stewards found that no other horse or rider was involved and the incident was caused by the gelding jinking. They took no further action. Race 5 - 3:55pm. THE 32Red BURRADON STAKES (CLASS 1) (Listed Race)

Following the race, David Probert reported that FORTUNE'S PEARL (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly. The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 6 - 4:25pm. THE 32Red.com FILLIES' CONDITIONS STAKES (CLASS 2) (PLUS 10 RACE)

It was noted that approaching 1 furlong out, HARD FOREST (IRE), placed third, edged right at the same time as DEIA GLORY, unplaced, edged left causing the winner SNAZZY (IRE), to be checked. However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that it did not involve a riding offence. Race 7 - 4:55pm. THE 32Red CASINO HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4)

Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that WE ARE THE WORLD, placed fifth, ran too free.
