Piney Run to host Fall Fishing Tournament on Oct. 16 October 1, 2010 - Piney Run Park invites angles to its annual Fall Fishing Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 7 a.m. until noon. Gates will open at 6:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Largemouth Bass: 1st place: $200, 2nd place: $100, 3rd place: $50 Striped Bass: 1st place: $200, 2nd place: $100, 3rd place: $50 Catfish: 1st place: $200, 2nd place: $100, 3rd place: $50 Largest legal Tiger Musky wins $300 BONUS: A trophy will be awarded for the largest fish (any species) of the day. The cost to enter the tournament is $20 per angler. Regular vehicle park entrance fees will be waived; however, the standard $8/boat launch fee will be collected at gatehouse for private boats. Fishing will be allowed from boats or the shoreline. A limited number of rowboats are available to rent for an additional fee of $20. Boats may be reserved by registering early.
