June: Teaching Portfolio

tdfdf News

This month you can learn more about how to create and maintain a teaching portfolio, and how it works as a tool for collection and development of your skills.

Welcome to our new student assistant

Tool for skills development A teaching portfolio is required according to SDU’s quality policy for the purpose of supporting the teacher’s ongoing development of pedagogical skills.

Maja Høgh Jensen started as student assistant at the Centre for Teaching and Learning at SDU in May.

The teaching portfolio is a great tool for the teacher to collect materials and document his skills and teaching experiences. The teaching portfolio can also be used to compile reflections on experiences from different teaching situations, which is useful for developing and improving teaching activities. Finally the teacher can also use the teaching portfolio to prove his skills in job applications and performance and development reviews.

As of June she will be responsible for writing the newsletter as well as the communication regarding it.

The teaching portfolio is applied in every faculty at the University of Southern Denmark, however with different requirements. In this newsletter you can see examples of teaching portfolios and read more about the instructions from your faculty.

TeachingCV in Pure You can use Pure to create your teachingCV. You can create the CV from the bar ‘My CVs and profile’. See instructions video.
