Free Online Training in Ethics of Health Research TRREE (Training and Resources in Research Ethics Evaluation) is an international consortium that provides free access to basic training on the ethics and regulation of health research and humans. Horizon 2020 Final Eco-Innovation Call Launched The European Commission has launched the final call for the Eco-Innovation Fund. This covers 50% of costs, and could be worth looking into if work is already being developed around this theme. Funding body: European Commission, Scheme: Eco-Innovation Overview: The Eco-Innovation initiative is designed to support projects on the first application or market replication of eco-innovative techniques, products, services or practices which have already been technically demonstrated with success but which, owing to residual risk, have not yet entered the market. ICT 2013 - Create, Connect & Grow

The three day event, organised by the European Commission's DG Connect and taking place in Vilnius on 6-8 November 2013, will focus on ICT research and innovation within Horizon 2020. The event combines a conference, an exhibition, networking sessions, an investment forum and activities for students and young researchers. The conference will address a range of issues across the ICT sector varying from cloud computing, broadband and ICT infrastructures to ICT skills, cyber security and long term visions on the future. The plenary sessions are organised thematically: Create: Disruptive and inspirational ICT research and innovation; Connect: Breaking silos, building bridges, exploiting synergies; Grow: Start-ups, SMEs and the role of clusters. Experts will present details on how to participate in the three parts of the Horizon 2020 programme through dedicated sessions on ICT for Excellent science, ICT for Industrial leadership and ICT for Societal challenges.
