We will see the three waterfalls that are part of all the Niagara falls – Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. Today is a travel day so we can sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery looking out the large windows of our spacious motor coach. Today is a great day to get acquainted with fellow travelers. Overnight: Effingham, IL DAY 2: Today it’s once again a travel day but we do have a fabulous lunch planned at the Iron Skillet in Indianapolis! This meal might be worth making the trip for! Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy that’s more than finger lickin’ good, you know how good this tour is – so plan on a tremendous lunch! Overnight: Medina, OH (B, L) DAY 3: Rock & Roll Is Here to Stay! Today we’ll visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio! The building itself is a striking (and recognizable) piece of architecture. The 150,000-square-foot building has a glass-enclosed, double pyramid adjacent to a 162-foot tower, both of which soar above the shores of Lake Erie. Upside-down cars from U2’s Zoo TV tour greet visitors in the sun-filled lobby atrium. We’ll see Rock & Roll from its early days until today. Not only does our permanent collection contain thousands of one-of-a-kind items – ranging from musical instruments and song lyrics to quirky stage props and colorful costumes – but they’re also always borrowing cool memorabilia and artifacts from artists and collectors for ongoing and temporary exhibits. The Rock Hall’s exhibits feature film, video, interactive kiosks, reading material and, of course, plenty of music. There is a nosh-worthy café and the museum store that offer plenty of dining and shopping options for us to enjoy - (on our own). Later this afternoon we’ll depart Cleveland for Niagara Falls! We’ll arrive and have time to freshen up before we head out for an evening by the falls. We will enjoy Dinner with a view of the falls followed by Falls Illumination! Every evening beginning at dusk, Niagara Falls is transformed into an incredible, multicolored water and light masterpiece. Overnight: Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada (B, D) DAY 4: Rise & Shine! We have a great day planned in Niagara - Today we’ll have several views of the falls: We are going ABOVE, BEHIND, UP-CLOSE AND TRAVEL BACK IN TIME TO THE FALLS! But first we’ll start with a City Tour of Niagara Falls. After visiting the Butterfly Conservatory and the Floral Clock we’ll have free-time for lunch (on your own) and shopping. Next, is our JOURNEY BEHIND THE FALLS. This visit will take 30 to 45 minutes as we’ll receive a free souvenir rain poncho as protection from the mist of the Falls. Elevators descend 150 feet through bedrock to tunnels that lead to viewing portals behind the massive sheet of water, then on to the Upper and Lower Observation decks at the foot of the Falls. We’ll experience the thundering roar, awesome power and amazing mist of the magnificent Niagara Falls. Next, hold on to your hats as we go BACK IN TIME as we experience Niagara’s Fury!
Here they have recreated the amazing sights and sounds of the formation of Niagara Falls. The temperature will drop, water will bubble and spray while snow falls all around. The moving platform beneath your feet will help us understand the power of nature while we are surrounded by stunning visuals along the mighty Niagara River. Today we’ve had several sightings of the Falls but now it’s time to get closer to the falls! We are taking a boat ride onboard the Hornblower Catamaran. Our Voyage to the Falls boat tour provides an UP-CLOSE viewing of the magnificent falls the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and of course the mighty Horseshoe Falls. Before calling it a day we’ll go ABOVE THE FALLS to the Skylon Tower where we will enjoy the sights from Niagara’s highest and most spectacular viewpoint. At 775 feet above the Falls, this awe-inspiring panorama will take our breath away. We will ride one of the exterior glass-enclosed elevators to the Observation Deck. What a day we will have in Niagara Falls! Overnight: Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada (B) DAY 5: This morning we will enjoy some free time for shopping and lunch (on your own) at Niagara-on-the-Lake on the shores of Lake Ontario. Then it’s time to board our motorcoach and travel back into the United States. We will have one last look at the American side of Niagara Falls before we start our journey home. Goat Island is situated between Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls. From Goat Island we can easily view the American and Horseshoe Falls. Overnight: Erie, PA (B) DAY 6: Today is a travel day across Ohio and into Indiana. We will visit the National Museum of the United States Air Force. The Museum galleries present military aviation history, boasting more than 360 aerospace vehicles and missiles on display – many rare and one-of-a-kind – along with thousands of historical items and powerful sensory exhibits that bring history to life and connect the Wright brothers’ legacy with today’s stealth and precision technology. We’ll have free time for lunch (on your own) at their Valkyrie Café where you’ll have anything from Salads to Pizza or you may choose to grab a Signature Hot Dog at their Refueling Cafe and spend more time looking at all the aircraft. You’ll want to eat lite because we have a really good dinner planned at Gray Brother’s Cafeteria (on your own). Overnight: Terre Haute, IN (B) DAY 7: This morning we’ll once again load our motorcoach for our final destination - home. We will all be chattering about our “favorite” part of this wonderful itinerary! I’m guessing it will be how we went BACK IN TIME, ABOVE, BEHIND AND UP-CLOSE to Niagara Falls. What a GREAT TOUR!!!
