What is Night of the Tales?

Night of the Tales is a beloved annual tradition at ISDenver with performances and storytelling from our talented faculty in English, French, Mandarin, and Spanish.

When is Night of the Tales?

Friday, September 15 from 6-8 p.m.

Where is Night of the Tales taking Night of the Tales is taking place on the ISDenver soccer field. Thank you for your feedback in last place this year? year's Night of the Tales survey to move the event to campus. We heard you! Will the event be held in the event of inclement weather?

Sadly, Night of the Tales will be cancelled in the event of bad weather. Keep your fingers crossed for a perfect Colorado night!

Where should I park?

The entire North lot near Kimak. (Please note the entrance to Night of the Tales will be at the Welcome Center, so you will need to walk around campus to enter the event.) The first three rows closest to the Welcome Center. (This is CFU's parking lot but they've graciously offered us half of their lot to use. Please be respectful as they also have a performance 9/15!) The Northeast corner of the ExtraSpace Storage is available for use. Please see provided map for more detail on spaces at Welcome Center and ExtraSpace Storage. Street parking

Where is the entrance for the event?

Enter through the Welcome Center gate. For safety and security, all other gates will be locked during the event.

Is wine and beer allowed?

Absolutely! It is a Friday night, so please pack a bottle of your favorite Rose with your picnic. Of course, if you imbibe, plan a safe ride ahead of time. And, of course, you are attending an event at your kids' school, so keep it clean and be prepared to pack out what you pack in.

What should I bring?

Picnic supper Blanket or lawn chairs (please set up full-height chairs toward the back). Your favorite travel mug. (We'll provide the cider and hot chocolate!) Your water bottle. (Refill your bottles at the Welcome Tent.) Sweater or jacket in case it cools down as the sun sets.

Will refreshments be provided?

Yes! Stop by the Welcome tent for a cup of hot cider or hot chocolate. Be sure to bring your favorite travel mug! We'll also have a station to refill your reusable water bottle at the Welcome tent.

Should my child wear a costume? If your child loves costumes, then, YES! This is a dress in your Halloween or Super Hero or Ballet recital finest occasion! If your child isn't into it, that is OK, fun will still be had by all! Will the school buildings be open No, the buildings will all be locked during the event. Two Portapotties and a hand washing during the event? station will be available. Why is there security at this year's event?

Your child's safety is of paramount importance to us. We are doubling down on safety at this year's event by not only bringing the event to campus, but by also restricting access into campus and having two uniformed Denver Police Department Guards. Please do your part, too, and keep an eye on your kids during the event.

What does the drumming mean? Our very talented music teacher, William Jenkins, will perform a drum solo before each languageprogram performance. Please silence your phones and finish your conversations. The performances are about to begin! The faculty spent a lot of time preparing for Night of the Tales, so please provide them the respect of your undivided attention! What are this year’s tales?
