NIGHT WORK ON SIR FRANCIS DRAKE BLVD Dear Property Owner and/or Resident, The Town is preparing to have Ghilotti Bros., Inc. perform Phase 2 of the Sir Francis Drake Paving Project (Project Number 2016SR). This work includes: • • •
re-paving Sir Francis Drake Blvd (SFD) (from Madrone Ave to Sais Ave) fixing potholes on SFD between Sais Ave and Saunders Ave for future road sealing fixing potholes between on SFD between Tunstead Ave and Center Blvd for future road sealing
Ghilotti Bros, together with Town Staff, has carefully reviewed the project limits, and determined that it is necessary to perform much of the work at night (as was done during Phase I). Night work provides increased safety and efficiency for the contractor and the public. We understand that the night-time noise will be an inconvenience for you: The work on SFD will be loud, but we will do everything we can to minimize the duration of the noise. If your driveway or street access is on SFD between Madrone and Sais, you will not have access to your driveway/street during the grinding and paving operations. You will receive additional notification 72 hours in advance. You will also be given a parking pass so that you can park on a nearby street overnight. The Sunny Hills intersection will be partially open, so vehicles will have access to Red Hill shopping center, Shaw Drive and Sunny Hills; but expect minor delays. Residents of Sais Ave and Calumet Ave will be detoured via Nokomis Ave and Park Drive respectively. Residents of Bella Vista will not have access from SFD during night work between Madrone and Sais; however, residents will be able to drive out via the south exit by driving on the concrete bus lane. Please note that emergency vehicles will be afforded access, so if you have an emergency, please dial 911. Also, if you have a critical access need, please contact us this week, so that we may work on a solution. We thank you for your patience while we complete all work as quickly as safely possible.
