Approaching the first turn, Dyna Kungpow, Almachino and Hello Teddy bumped, checking Almachino and Hello Teddy. Soon after, Almachino galloped on the heels of Hello Teddy, checking both greyhounds and as a result, Hello Teddy then stumbled. On the home turn, Take The Crown crossed wide and bumped with Almachino. A post-race swab sample was taken from Prodigal Son, the winner of the event. Hello Teddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the greyhound to have spike wounds on the inside toe on the left hind paw, however no stand down period was applied. General: Trainer, Mr David Crosswell was reprimanded pursuant to GAR 33(4) in that he presented He’s A Boomer without the correct registration papers. Trainer Ms Susan Gittus was reprimanded pursuant to GAR 33(4) in that she presented her greyhounds for today’s meeting without the registration papers. Fernando Gold completed at Stewards satisfactory trial as it had been stood down from racing at LGRC on the 11th of September 2017 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment pursuant to GAR 69A(1). Weighing 30.0kg and beginning from box 5, Fernando Gold completed the 452M trial distance in a time of 25.91. Fernando Gold has been cleared to race at Devonport only.
