Notification Cheat Sheet To be sure you receive all the information you need, it’s important to sign up for notifications. You can choose to receive notifications via email or on your smartphone via push notifications. We’ll show you here how to do both. Important: You’ll need to personalize your notification preferences for each group to which you belong. Setting up email notifications 1. Open your group in The City and click on the circle icon with three dots in the middle. 2. Select “notifications” from the drop down menu. 3. Select how often you would like to receive email notifications.
Setting up push notifications on The City App 1. Download The City App via the App Store or Google Play. 2. Open The City and select the three lines in the top left corner to view the menu. 3. Choose “Settings” from the drop-down menu. 4. Choose “Notifications.” 5. Select the group whose notifications you would like to edit. (Note: You can quickly see your notification preferences for each group in this menu.) 6. Turn push notifications on by tapping on the slide button until it turns green. 7. In your phone’s settings, be sure you have notifications enabled for The City app.
