Eligibility

All competitors must be aged 8 years to 13 years on the day of the event and hold current BJA membership or equivalent. All competitors must wear a white judogi. All competitors must be graded Novice – 3 Mon, competitors aged 9 and over must have completed a grading examination within the last 9 months (applies to novices if licence held over 6 months).

Method of Elimination Weigh-In

Please Note: This is intended to be a novice event as such for many of the entrants this will be their first competition, please respect this, any under graded gong hunters that enter will not be invited to enter future Nottinghamshire events. Where possible competitors will be divided into pools of four based on gender and weight. BJA under 12 rules will apply throughout irrespective of age. The tournament director reserves the right to amend weight categories as necessary. Pools Girls all weights 9.00am – 9.30am Boys -34kg 10.30am – 11.00am Boys +34kg 1.00pm – 1.30pm All competitors MUST present themselves to the weigh-in wearing competition acceptable judogi trousers, females must also wear a plain white round neck tshirt.

Photography

Please note: By entering or attending this competition you are agreeing to accept the BJA policy in respect of photography and video usage. The use of photographic equipment is permitted; however, should a request be made for you to stop, then you should respect the wishes of others. Any lights or flashes should be disabled prior to taking any photographs of action on a contest area. All of our events are now streamed live on facebook, if you do not wish for your contests to be streamed then you must inform the officials at the weigh-in.

Coach Registration

All coaches will be required to register at the spectator entrance where they will receive a wristband that will enable them to access the competition area and coaching seating.
