FESTIVAL Friday 25th November Real Life Reindeer

3pm-6pm - Legacy Hotel Victoria

Come along and meet Santa’s reindeer ahead of the festive season. Please note the reindeer will be taking a break for their tea at a quiet point during this time.

Children’s Lantern Parade

6.30pm - Cliff Road to Fore Street

Christmas lights switch-on

7pm - Marcus Hill

Enjoy the blessing of the Christmas tree, carol singing, and entertainment with Pirate FM, alongside the switching on of the Christmas lights.

Fireworks

8pm - Newquay Harbour

Celebrations close with a spectacular firework display over Newquay Harbour, provided by Newquay Town Council.

Late Night Shopping

Until 8.30pm across the town

Many shops will be open late for Christmas shopping, so grab a few stocking fillers whilst surrounded by festive cheer.

Newquay Music & Ale Festival

The Esplanade Hotel, 7pm ‘til late. Celebrate Christmas in style with a drinks reception then take a seat in the Ocean View Restaurant and enjoy a festive three-course meal. Santa Fun Run & Surf Sunday 4th December

Cornwall Hospice Care, Fistral Beach, 11am. Cornwall Hospice Care's annual Santa Fun Run is back and even bigger than ever with the 'Santa Fun Run & Surf'. Open to men and women, boys and girls, young and old – everyone is welcome to join. You can choose to run, jog or walk along the route. Sign up and you will receive a free Santa Suit! Join us for a mince pie and hot drink after to continue the merry making... Spaces are limited, so advanced registration is recommended. Sign up now £12 for adults and £7 for children.

Christmas Carol Concert Sunday 4th December

St. Michael & Towan Masonic Lodges Present: The Newquay Town Band AND The Newquay Male Voice Choir. The Hotel Bristol, 6:30 pm. Entrance £4 including interval snacks in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance & The Newquay Memory Café.

Newquay Activity Centre Charity Coasteer Saturday 31st December

Newquay Activity Centre, Headland Road, 9am. Newquay Activity Centre’s legendary charity coasteer will once again take place on New Year’s Eve and raise money for the SSAFA, the armed forces charity. The SSAFA is the UK’s oldest national military charity that aims to make life easier for our Armed Forces, veterans and their families. The habitual New Year’s Coasteer has previously attracted adventurous men, women and children as they join Newquay Activity Centre’s coasteering experts and jump into the cool Cornish seas to raise money for charity and welcome in the New Year with a splash! Entry cost: £45 (or charity donation that you can afford)

New Year’s Eve at the Legacy Hotel Victoria Saturday 31st December

Legacy Hotel Victoria, 7.30pm – 1am. Come and see in 2017 at the Legacy Hotel Victoria. We will be hosting New Year’s Eve celebrations in the grand Ocean View Ballroom with free entry and a disco, a fun event suitable for the whole family. A hot buffet will be available during the evening and the bar will be serving until 1am. Just before midnight it’s time to top up your glass and head out onto the lawn for the perfect view of Newquay’s fireworks as the clocks strike midnight!

See in 2017 with a bang. Head down to Newquay Harbour for a fantastic fireworks display which is sure to make your New Year's Eve celebrations memorable. Midnight, Newquay Harbour.

Dip for CLIC

CLIC Sargent, Newquay Harbour, from 11am. Join the brave dippers and take to the water with lots of well wishes from the crowd.
