GENERAL CONDITIONS:The posts are temporary but likely to continue. These posts are subject to variation and can be withdrawn at any time without assigning any reason(s). Only male candidates are eligible for above mentioned posts. HOW TO APPLY:(i)

Candidates should submit their applications along with their attested passport size photo on the neatly typewritten format given at the end of this advertisement on A-4 size paper giving full details of personal educational/technical qualifications, experience etc. on or before 30.7.2014 to the Controller, Printing and Stationery Department, U.T., Sector-18, Chandigarh-160018.

(ii)

Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should submit separate application for each post. The envelope containing the application should be clearly super scribed in red ink “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CHOWKIDAR and in order to avoid any further litigations, applicant should mentioned his category i.e. General/S.C//Ex-Servicemen on the prescribed application form.

(iii)

The applications found incomplete, illegible, signed in capital letters, without enclosures of copies of certificates, testimonials and applications received after the prescribed date will summarily be rejected and no further correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

(iv)

Only short listed candidates will be called for the physical test/interview. No T.A/ D.A will be paid for attending the physical test/ interview by this department.

(v)

Applications submitted with forged caste/community certificates for securing eligibility and/or obtaining privileges should be liable not only for rejection of his candidature for the particular recruitment for which he has applied but action will also be taken against him as per Government of India Rules. Relaxations and concessions for SC Category will be considered on the basis of the lists of Centre Government as well as of Chandigarh Administration.

(vi)

Candidates serving in a Government/ Quasi Government/ Autonomous bodies/ Organization/ Institutions should apply through Proper Channel or should apply direct with “No Objection Certificate” from their employer to avoid delay. Advance copy of application will be entertained provided that the application through proper channel is received within 10 days of the closing date. Further they shall not be admitted for test/Interview if they fail to produce a “No Objection Certificate” at the time of test/Interview.

(vii)

The decision of the Controller, Printing and Stationery, U.T., Chandigarh in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, penalty for false information, mode of selection, conduct of test, allotment of post to selected candidate etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection.

(viii) Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification of the candidates. The candidates trying to use influence or unfair means would be disqualified from the selection. (ix)

One self addressed envelope of size 9”x 4” duly postal stamped for Rs 30/- should be attached with each application.

The selection will be made on the basis of marks allotted for education qualification, physical test and experience as mentioned above against the criteria of selection of the post. The decision of the Departmental Recruitment Committee will be final for all intents and purposes.

The selection will be made on the basis of marks allotted for education qualification, interview and experience as mentioned above against the criteria of selection of the post. The decision of the Departmental Recruitment Committee will be final for all intents and purposes. (xi)

The selected candidate(s) for the post of Chowkidar will be governed by the Chandigarh Administration (Group ‘D’) Service Rules 1993.

(xii)

The Department reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates on the basis of their academic merit i.e. for each post a maximum of 10 applicants can be shortlisted for further consideration.

(xiii) The post of the Ex-Servicemen should be filled up by making interview/ marks obtained in the Educational Qualification and on the basis of experience amongst the names of Ex-Servicemen received from the Zila Sainik Board, Chandigarh and from the applications directly received in this office and no physical test would be conducted in respect of Ex-Servicemen. (xiv)

The Ex-Servicemen must attach the photocopy of his complete discharge book.

(xv)

For legal dispute the jurisdiction will be at Chandigarh only.
