Open to residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, U.S. territories and possessions, Canada (excluding Quebec) or the United Kingdom age 16 or older. How to Enter: 1. Review these Official Rules for the THE THORN OF DENTONHILL Sweepstakes and log in with your Book Country email and password. If you are not a member of Book Country, go to http://BookCountry.com and sign up for free. By signing up for the Book Country website, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy, which is available at http://www.bookcountry.com/PrivacyPolicy.aspx. Then go to the Discussion board under the Connect tab and answer in one sentence the question about fantasy writing shown in the copy promoting the Sweepstakes. If you do not want to sign up for Book Country, entries may also be sent via email with your name, mailing address and email address and your answer to the question in the body of the email, and “THE THORN OF DENTONHILL Sweepstakes” in the subject line. Email should be sent to [email protected]. Sweepstakes period begins on January 27, 2015 and ends at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time on February 2, 2015 The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry will be the computer servers of Book Country, a member of Penguin Group (USA) LLC (“Sponsor”). Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures, etc.) does not constitute proof of receipt. Limit one entry per person. 2. Your entry may be judged void if it is in whole or in part late, lost, misdirected or incomplete, or contains false information, or does not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of the Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. Random Drawing and Winner Confirmation: 1. From all eligible entries received, ten (10) entries will be chosen by Sponsor in a random drawing to be held within five (5) business days of the close of the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. 2. Selected entrants will be notified by email from Book Country within five (5) business days of drawing. To be confirmed a winner, a selected entrant must (a) respond to the email notification within five (5) business days of it being sent, and (b) if a Canadian resident, correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone during a pre-arranged time. If any selected entrant cannot be contacted and confirmed a winner as above, his/her entitlement to receive a prize may be forfeited, and prize may be awarded to an alternate eligible entrant. Prizes:

1. There are ten (10) prizes available to be won, each of which is an advance reading copy of The Thorn of Dentonhill, by Marshall Ryan Maresca (the “Author) (Approximate Retail Value = $7.99). Prizes will be mailed to confirmed winners. 2. In the event that there are an insufficient number of eligible entries, Sponsor reserves the right not to award the prizes. Prizes must be accepted as awarded, without substitution, transfer or assignment. Prizes are non-refundable, not convertible to cash, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value (based on the approximate retail value of the prize as stated in these Official Rules). Eligibility: 1. To be eligible, you must be a resident of the fifty United States, the District of Columbia, US territories and possessions, Canada (excluding Quebec) or the United Kingdom, age 16 or older. 2. You are not eligible if you are an employee of Sponsor, DAW Books, the Author, their respective affiliates, or other party in any way involved in the development or administration of this Sweepstakes, or a member of the immediate family or household member of any such employee. Conduct: 1. By participating in the Sweepstakes, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Official Rules, and agree to abide and be bound by them and all decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding, without right of appeal, in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes and the awarding of prizes. 2. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any entrant that it finds to be: (a) violating the Official Rules; (b) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; (c) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner; or (d) attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY APPLICATION OR WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD ANY SUCH ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AND TO BAN OR DISQUALIFY AN ENTRANT FROM THIS AND FUTURE SWEEPSTAKES. Release of liability / Consent to publicity: By entering the Sweepstakes, you: (i) confirm compliance with the Official Rules; (ii) consent to and grant Sponsor a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use your name, city, comments, photographs and/or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes, including posting on the Sweepstakes page, without further notice or compensation,

and agree that you may be required to sign an agreement to that effect, except where prohibited by law; and (iii) release Sponsor, the Author, their respective affiliates (including, without limitation, any parent, sister and subsidiary companies), and other parties in any way involved in the development or administration of this Sweepstakes, including advertising and promotional agencies, public relations agencies, suppliers of materials or services related to the Sweepstakes, and all of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively the "Releasees") from and against any and all liability from any claims, actions, damages, loss, injury, costs, demands and liabilities arising in connection with the Sweepstakes and/or the prize, including, as set out below in the Limitation of Liability section. Limitation of liability: Releasees do not assume any responsibility and each entrant releases Releasees from any and all claims, actions, damages, loss, injury, costs, demands and liabilities of whatever nature or kind arising in connection with the Sweepstakes and/or the prize including, without limitation, the administration of the Sweepstakes, the selection and confirmation of winners, and the awarding and use of the prizes. Without limiting the generality of the forgoing, Releasees are not responsible for (i) the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information; (ii) late, lost, stolen, illegible, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete entries or entries that are altered or otherwise irregular, submitted using robotic, automated, or through illicit means or contain false information, or do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of the Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion; (iii) any failure of, errors, or problems with the Sweepstakes application or any website associated with the Sweepstakes, including any application or website feature, howsoever caused, (iv) traffic congestion on the Internet, (v) injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes; (vi) any website functionality lost due to not having cookies enabled; (vii) any errors, omissions, incorrect or inaccurate information in any Sweepstakes-related materials howsoever caused; (viii) the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer "hackers" or otherwise. General: 1. This Sweepstakes will be run in accordance with these Official Rules, subject to amendment by Sponsor. These Official Rules shall govern in the event of any inconsistency with other Sweepstakes-related materials. 2. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the email account. 3. Should the ARV of the OR each prize equal or exceed $600.00, winners who are US residents shall be required to provide a Social Security Number or a Taxpayer Identification Number to Sponsor for issuance of a 1099 Form. 4. Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to modify or terminate the Sweepstakes and amend the Official Rules at any time, without individual notice, and for any reason. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.

5. All entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrants. 6. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising from this Sweepstakes will be determined according to the laws of the State of New York, without reference to its conflicts of law principles, and the entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York County and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
