Your Apache Trail tour begins as you travel the same route as the early explorers of the Apache trail and into the rugged wilderness of the Tonto National Forest. First stop is Sonoran Desert Walk-The Superstition Mountains will serve as the backdrop for an easy and informative Sonoran Desert Walk. Over thrity different plants, desert birds and mammal species are encountered along this scenic trail.
