Our Leadership Model Our first step when set the challenge of designing a Leadership Model for the organisation was to ask the attendees at the Engage session in April earlier this year, to recall those leaders they had most admired, those they were happy to serve under and to tell us, ‘What were their behaviours?’ and ‘How did you feel working for them?’ They put their answers onto paper plates and we themed the responses.

We then put those themes onto Tricider and asked what these behaviours meant to our people and which were the most important. The results told us that engagement was the most important and also gave us plenty of rich feedback as to what LCFT people were looking for in our Leadership Model.

Next, we got to work pulling the model together. We referenced many current models and research amongst others, ensuring that our Trust Values were reflected throughout and we came up with what you see below:   

Now we need to find out from you what you like about it and what you think is missing. How does the language sit with you? Have we got it right or does it not resonate with you? We’ll be coming out to talk to various groups across the Trust about it, but in the meantime, if you would like to get involved please do get in touch with Maggie Blair or Emma Dawkins.
