Welcome to our spring newsletter It’s that time of year again when everything has emerged from hibernation and the publishing industry hosts events galore: literary festivals, book fairs and industry book awards.   We continue to be as busy as ever and finished the first quarter of this year having worked on some very interesting projects for a wide range of clients. This included a new ELT range for children aged 5–9 who are learning English as a foreign or second language and the translation of all the songs of a famous English rock band for a US publisher. In March, we were also very excited to announce the launch of our new website which went live just in time for the London Book Fair; many thanks to everyone for the positive comments!

Spring quote "When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest.” ‐ Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast

But there was one particular meeting with a potential customer that stood out for us. Read full article

We love books! For this newsletter we have given the opportunity to Ellen Northrop, our work placement student, to provide a book review. Here she gives us her insightful review of The Sellout by Paul Beatty, winner of the Man Booker Prize 2016.

The Sellout, by Paul Beatty

Paul Beatty the author

Paul Beatty’s biting satire of a supposedly post‐racial America will make you laugh (and wince) in the way that all successful comedians do – by presenting you with the truth.

Paul Beatty is a contemporary African‐ American author. In 2016, he won the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Man Booker Prize for his novel The Sellout.
