Indian Markets Indian shares rose for the fourth straight session on Tuesday, led by gains in Tata Steel Ltd and Bank of Baroda Ltd, with investors keeping an eye out for inflation data due later in the day.Both the BSE and the NSE indexes ended 0.87 percent higher at 32,158.66 and 10,093.05, respectively.Jet Airways (India) Ltd, which was expected to report its June-quarter results later in the day, ended 1.58 percent higher. Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd, fell 2.4 percent after rising more than 5 percent in the previous session. Bank of Baroda and Axis Bank Ltd were up more than 1 percent each, while HDFC Bank gained for a sixth straight session, climbing as much as 0.9 percent

US & European Markets All three major U.S. stock indexes booked all-time closing highs on Tuesday, though

gains were capped by unsteady trade in technology, after a brisk, broad-market runup in the previous session. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.28% rose 61.49 points, or 0.3%, to finish at 22,118.86, its 36th record of 2017The S&P 500 SPX, +0.34% added 8.37 points, or 0.3%, to close at 2,496.48, The Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, +0.34% finished up 22.02 points, or 0.3%, at 6,454.28, overcoming early session wobbles to book its 47th all-time high for the technologyladen index this year.. European stocks finished Tuesday mostly higher as investors took stock of the impact of Hurricane Irma while tensions on the Korean Peninsula appeared to abate.The pan-European Stoxx 600 ended trade up 0.52 percent, off session highs, while almost all sectors closed in the black.The German DAX and the French CAC closed the session sharply higher, up 0.4 percent and 0.62 percent respectively; with most periphery bourses ending in the black too. The FTSE 100, however, came under pressure following the latest U.K. inflation data, finishing 0.17 percent down.

Asian Markets Asian stock markets closed mostly higher Monday, as a calm weekend on the geopolitical front and the downgrading of Hurricane Irma saw investors put money back into risk assets.

The rupee on Tuesday fell by another 11 paise to 64.04 a dollar, the second straight session loss on persistent demand for the American currency from banks and importers.Foreign capital outflows also had an impact on the rupee trading against the dollar The Centre approved an amendment bill that seeks to double tax-free gratuity for formal sector employees to Rs 20 lakh. India’s retail inflation continued to grow at 3.36 percent in August, mainly due to an increase in foods prices and higher services costs indicating GST’s inflationary impact. India's fuel demand fell 6.1 percent in August compared with the same month last year India Inc's foreign direct investment (FDI) fell by about 15 per cent to USD 1.34 billion in last month .

The second largest airline Jet Airways standalone net income more than doubled to Rs 53.5 crore in the three months to June against Rs 25.9 crore a year ago in spite of a large one-time provisioning of Rs 56.6 crore. State-run Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)'s Bhilai plant has received an order for 12 lakh tonne (LT) rails from the Indian Railways for the current fiscal, Emami Cement Limited announced plans to raise its total production capacity to 6 MTPA as its 2 MTPA plant being set up at a cost of Rs 600 crore in Odisha's Jajpur district is likely to be commissioned by March 2018. JSW Group is in talks with Chinese company Zhejiang Geely for a partnership to manufacture electric vehicles.
