US & European Markets A Netflix rally boosted the Nasdaq Composite to a record high on Tuesday while Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS.N) dragged the Dow lower as earnings take centre stage on Wall Street. The Nasdaq posted its eighth consecutive session of gains, the longest streak since its 10-day string in February 2015. The tech-heavy index was largely boosted by Netflix (NFLX.O). The movie streaming company rose 13.5 percent to $183.60 a day after it crushed Wall Street forecasts by reporting 5.2 million new streaming customers in the second quarter. Bourses in Europe closed lower on Tuesday as global sentiment was dampened by a gridlock in U.S. politics over health-care reform. The pan-European Stoxx 600 sunk 1.11 percent lower by close of play while U.S. markets opened in the red, responding to the collapse of Republicans' plans to replace Obamacare with a new health-care bill. Asian Markets Asian shares stepped back from more than two-year highs on early Tuesday while the dollar sagged on Global Indices

Currencies Australia's main index climbed 0.7 percent, but the strength of the yen nudged Japan's Nikkei down 0.1 percent. Outlook Markets are expected to open in flattish to slightly positive on early trades following the Asian and other global markets.
