Thursday 19 January 2017 Dear Neighbour, RE: Grosvenor House Hotel demolition: weekend overnight road closures at Charter Square on 21/22 and 22/23 January 2017 The demolition of the Grosvenor House Hotel is progressing well, with the high reach machine now on site to take down the highest parts of the building. DSM, the demolition contractor, will this weekend be demolishing the four storey section of the building opposite Furnival Gate. As with every part of the demolition process, ensuring the safety of people in the area remains the top priority. To make sure this part of the demolition is carried out safely, an overnight road closure of Charter Square and its approaches will be required this Saturday and Sunday night. While these temporary closures are in place, cars travelling towards Charter Square along Charter Row will be diverted before reaching Charter Square. There will be no vehicular route through the Charter Square area for vehicles coming from Furnival Gate. The times that these temporary road closures will be in place are as follows:  

From 19:00 on Saturday 21 January until 05:00 on Sunday 22 January 2017 From 19:00 on Sunday 22 January until 05:00 on Monday 23 January 2017

We appreciate that we have provided this information at short notice and we would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience that these temporary road closures may cause.
