Us Time Out people love to get out-and-about. The atmosphere on the coach heading out of the city is always electric. Excitement at what the day ahead will hold - August was NO exception - we had an appointment with Elsabe at Uitkyk Farm (the Dallas farm of Wellington) where Elsabe had us in fits of laughter! Likening herself to Miss Ellie and her husband to JR—she told many a tale about her family and the diverse products they handle on the farm. Ranging from planting buchu; to making preserves ; to bottling olive oil and by products ; many a purchase was made and her delicious product was devoured! We then headed to Blacksmith’s Kitchen in Paarl where they had potato & leek soup with fresh bread rolls ; and a Moroccan lamb shank tagine, cooked off the bone and served with basmati rice, chickpeas and apricots!

28th September Coach leaves Tableview at 08h45 & Constantia Village at 09H30 NOTE TURN AROUND OF TIMES

Cost of the day is R450 per person which includes your transport & 2 course lunch “I’ll advertise for Elsabe” says Ann with strong conviction! We had 2 highlights today—one was sharing excitement with Elaine that her 2 grandchildren who live in Paarl managed to come up and visit their Nanna - what a treat for you Elaine! The second being the fact that we had spare time ‘after’ lunch to chill outside at Blacksmith’s Kitchen before we headed back to the city!

As Mel said on Facebook “One of those Great Time Out Outings” Thanks Mel, kind words!

Booking & payment deadline is Friday 23rd September

The Story Behind the Name In the words of the owners :-) It stems from a special Christmas Eve. Gifts were given – from my mom we got a book she had written, as she does every year. She also made us loungewear and bottled jams. Later down the line when the plans for our eatery were set and all that was left was to decide on our name,

‘Pajamas & Jam’ just seemed so appropriate when we thought back to that sentimental time.

In Somerset West Industrial area TRIP ADVISOR—Wanda — Sensory overload! Sight, sound, smell & taste! They never seem to disappoint! With the extensions being done to the eatery and more tables made available, my first thought was how are they going to manage? I was not disappointed. There were more than enough efficient and helpful staff, the food was excellent, well presented, tasty! Stunning fire pit built to keep the guests warm. Everyone busy taking pictures and a fantastic vibe going. The food is fresh, the cakes and confectionery and the bread out of this world!
