Registration Information: FEES AND PAYMENTS All registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Payment must be made in full at time of registration and accompany registration.  Stop by the office at the Quarterpath Recreation Center to complete the registration/waiver form and pay the required charge (cash or check made payable to Williamsburg Recreation, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express).  Online registration is offered for youth basketball, volleyball and softball (during reg. period) @ www.williamsburgva.gov/rec. REFUND POLICY  Refund requests must be made prior to the first day of class or game. Any request for a refund after the first day due to illness, injury, or re-location is subject to review by the Director.  All refunds will be assessed a 10% administrative charge, not to exceed $5.00.  All refund requests must be made in writing, whether in person at the Quarterpath Recreation Center or by email to [email protected]. Quarterpath Recreation Center Williamsburg Walking Club The Williamsburg Walking Club is a FREE program that provides an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to exercise, but do not want aerobics or may not be physically able to do other types of exercises. Walkers are encouraged to walk at their own pace in the comfort of the air -conditioned/heated gymnasium. Walkers keep track of how many laps they walk (11 laps = 1 mile) and then record them on the sign-in sheet. The laps are then translated into miles. Youth Sports Leagues Girls Youth Softball League Williamsburg Parks and Recreation Girls Softball League is for ages 5 – 13. The spirit of our league is to have fun, teach the fundamentals of softball, and learn sportsmanship and fair play. T-Ball: Girls ages 5 - 6 Our T-ball program introduces the game of softball in an environment that combines instruction and game play. $30.00 per player. Coach Pitch: Girls ages 7 - 8 Coach Pitch advances softball fundamentals and readiness for playing the full game of softball. $35.00 per player. Youth Leagues & Classes YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE The Williamsburg Parks & Recreation Department is proud to offer the Youth Basketball League at the Quarterpath Recreation Center. Our mission is to instill the ideals of teamwork, good sportsmanship, selfimprovement, competition, and work ethic in the youth of our community. YOUTH DANCE CLASSES The Williamsburg Parks & Recreation dance program has class offerings for ages 3 & older. Instructor Amy Rowe offers dance programs ranging from theatrical dance to contemporary ballet. We have classes for all abilities and welcome all to come dance with us! Dance program includes recital in December, 2017. Creative Movement Age: 3 - 5 This super fun class is for the tiny dancer. As an introduction to theatrical dance, with a ballet emphasis, balance and gross motor skill development will be of focus. Musicality and other basic forms of dance will be introduced as well. Open to all levels, this is a slower-paced flow class geared towards those new to yoga or preferring a slightly gentler class instructed by Bettina Lee. Time is spent breaking down sun salutations and other poses fundamental to a Hatha yoga practice. Blocks and modifications are available for proper alignment and ease in the postures. Adult Leagues ADULT VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

Co-ed and Women’s Volleyball Leagues are offered at the Quarterpath Recreation Center. Our recreational volleyball league is for all skill levels and a great way for friends to compete & have fun! Co-ed League plays on Mondays and Women’s League plays on Thursday. Players must be 17 years of age or older.

ADULT TENNIS LEAGUE

Join our Adult Tennis League and hit the courts for some friendly competition. Our Men’s and Women’s Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles Leagues are a great way to stay active, socialize and improve your game. Plus, with players of nearly all skill levels, there’s a place for you and your game.

CARDIO-FIT TENNIS Cardio-Fit Tennis is a high energy group activity for anyone, at any playing level looking for a fun way to burn calories and interact with others outside of the gym. This class, instructed by Lorenzo Sison, combines the most enjoyable features of the sport with cardiovascular exercise while delivering a full body workout. The class is developed to encourage quality physical activity including a warm-up, cardio workout and a cool down phase. Reserve a picnic shelter for your next party! Are you planning a fun family event or birthday party this spring or summer? Rent one of our four picnic shelters at Waller Mill Park. There is so much to see and do at the park to add to your special event. Our shelters can accommodate up to 150 people depending on the shelter reserved. The 1 ½ acre dog park at Waller Mill Park is an unleashed dog park with two areas for dogs to run. One fenced area is for smaller dogs weighing 30 lbs. or less, and the other fence area is for all dogs. Memberships available at the boathouse with proof of rabies vaccination and dog license. Waller Mill Park Join the Angler’s Club @ Waller Mill Park! Every year anglers canvas the state looking to wet a line and reel in their next big story. What they might not know is that one of the best fishing reservoirs in south-eastern Virginia is right here in our own backyard, Waller Mill Park! For those of you that do know, we invite you to join the Waller Mill Park Angler’s Club. This club was created to promote fishing for sport and fun at Waller Mill Park and hosts fun programs like our #WMPfish Photo Contest throughout the year. All ages are welcome and can participate by fishing from one of our two fishing piers, bringing your own boat or renting a boat at the park. We hope you get a chance to come out and catch some big fish! Membership Membership in the Anglers' Club is free, but to qualify you must: complete the Angler’s Club application form and be in possession of a valid VA fishing license (if over 16). #WMPfish Photo Contest Angler Club members will automatically be enrolled in a year-long friendly fishing competition sponsored by Dick’s Sporting Goods. Join us at Waller Mill Park for our Beginner/Intermediate Kayak classes. These one day classes will explore the basics of flatwater kayaking, review basic water safety skills and tour the Waller Mill Reservoir. 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. $65.00/class.    



Students must be at least 16 years of age. Children ages 12 - 15 may participate if a parent or guardian is also a member of the class. Students should bring their lunch. No experience is necessary and all equipment will be provided. $50.00 with own personal boat.

Water Exploration Program Our Water Exploration Program will give kids a handson opportunity to explore the reservoir and learn what makes a healthy water source, how our water sources are connected and how they impact the water sources around them. Activities will include dip netting for the invertebrates that call the reservoir their home, testing the water in various ways and discussing how all of these are interconnected. This program is great for kids aged 6 and above and will provide great reinforcement for many of the elementary and middle school environmental science SOLs. Max 20 participants.
