FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES By raising funds for Rainbows, you will ensure needed services are available for local children with special needs. Thank you for your commitment!

$125 | LED Arm Band

$250 | Commemorative Shirt

By raising $125, you will help provide two speech therapy sessions for a child

By raising $250, you will help provide two hours of mental health services for a child.

$500 | iHome Speaker

$1,000 | Fitbit Zip

By raising $500, you will help provide necessities such as: durable medical equipment, diapers, supplies and medications.

By raising $1,000, you will help provide hearing aids for a child whose family might not otherwise be able to afford them.

Incentives are based on totals raised by individual. To qualify for incentives, you must be registered as a Run|Walk participant and turn in funds on or before May 20, 2017. Items will be delivered 6-8 weeks post event. Rainbows reserves the right to substitute items based on availability.

USE CUSTOMIZABLE EMAILS Already registered? To get your friends, family and coworkers to join or donate to your team, login to your headquarters and send customizable emails by using pre-made templates. Also, use the “My Connections” worksheet included in this packet to help identify potential team members.

CREATE SOCIAL MEDIA BUZZ Like Rainbows United, Inc.’s Facebook page and share our Facebook posts and event with your friends, family and co-workers. HOST A GATHERING This can be a simple meet-and-greet at a coffee shop or a pizza party. Use the opportunity to explain your connection to the cause, recruit more team members, set goals and distribute information about the event.

SET TEAM TARGETS Aim high for fundraising and recruitment goals. Work with team members to set individual goals, set daily or weekly goals and create an overall team goal. Identify people to help recruit, motivate and organize the team. There will be prizes for the largest team, the team who raises the most money, etc.

MOTIVATE Send out weekly encouraging emails. Set-up a weekly training walk/run. Brainstorm fun prizes to award different milestones. Establish a Facebook group to report progress and have team members “like” the group. Celebrate when a team members reaches a goal, recruits a new member or comes up with a fundraising idea.

SEND PERSONAL THANK YOU NOTES This can be a simple email or handwritten note with a photo. Mention you look forward to seeing them at the event!

Easy ways to raise $125…   

Ask 5 family members to sponsor you for $25 each. Ask 5 co-workers to contribute $12.50 each ($62.50 total) and ask your employer to match their donations ($62.50 total). Post a Facebook appeal challenging 25 people to donate $5 each.

How to raise $500 in a week…        

Day 1 – Sponsor yourself for $20 Day 2 – Ask 3 relatives for $25 Day 3 – Ask 5 friends for $15 Day 4 – Ask 5 co-workers for $10 Day 5 – Email 20 contacts and ask for $10 Day 6 – Ask three neighbors for $10 Day 7 – Ask your company to donate $50 Day 8 – Celebrate your success!
