PARTNERS OUTDOORS 2018 RECx PRESENTATIONS: GREAT IDEAS FOR THE GREAT OUTDOORS Do you have an outdoor recreation success story to tell? Do you have a wonderful idea about enhancing visitor experiences you would like to share? Do you want to reach an audience that can spread your ideas across the country? Here is your chance to share your great ideas with the outdoor recreation community. Make a RECx presentation at Partners Outdoors 2018! Partners Outdoors is a unique gathering of recreation community leaders from the public and private sectors that has been held annually since 1992. The sessions at Partners Outdoors are designed to promote public-private brainstorming focused on identifying workable, innovative solutions to recreation-management challenges. The Partners Outdoors Steering Committee, which plans the meeting, is issuing a call for presentations to be delivered during RECx: Great Ideas for the Great Outdoors at Partners Outdoors 2018. They are looking for presentations that are dynamic, brief – no more than 10 minutes – and focused on sharing new ideas or telling inspiring success stories that show how visitor experiences can be enhanced. Examples of the many possible presentation topics include: making experiences in the great outdoors both memorable and enjoyable, especially for kids; reaching and hosting diverse audiences; forging new partnerships; embracing new technology; innovative financing – and more! Proposals should be submitted to [email protected] for review by a selection committee. The best 12 proposals will be chosen for presentation at RECx in Washington, D.C. on May 30, 2018 to an audience of hundreds of recreation leaders – and they will also be livestreamed to a national online audience. Each selected presenter will be reimbursed up to $500 to cover expenses associated with traveling to the nation’s capital for the event. All RECx presentations will be recorded and available for future online review as part of the new Partners Outdoors Virtual Library of Great Ideas for the Great Outdoors.
