PATTERSON RIVER GC JUNIOR OPEN 2017 COMPETITION CONDITIONS 1: GENERAL 1.1 Eligible players are males and females, who are under 18 years of age as of 9th January 2017 and who hold a current Australian Handicap. 1.2 The field of the tournament will be limited to 120 players. Should it be necessary to limit the field, players on the highest handicap will be subject to elimination by ballot. 1.3 The event will be played over 18 holes for both male and female. A Grade play Stroke and B Grade play Stableford. . 2: PATTERSON RIVER GOLF CLUB JUNIOR OPEN MATCH COMMITTEE The Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee shall consist of representatives of the Patterson River Golf Club Match Committee and GV if present. In the absence of the Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee, such members thereof as may be present at any time may give a decision and any decision shall be deemed the decision of the Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee. The Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee reserves the right to vary any condition of this event. In the event of bad weather, or for any other reason, the Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee may shorten the competition, appoint another day, or transfer play to another course. Protests must be made to the Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee not later than 10 minutes after the conclusion of the round. The decision of the Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee will be final in all matters relating to the Tournament. 3: ENTRIES: Entries will be restricted to amateurs who are members of clubs of Golf Victoria, or of golf clubs registered with such State or Overseas Associations, as are affiliated Victorian Golf League and Registered Golfers. The attached form should be used for this purpose. The Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee shall have the right to refuse any entry without explanation. Entrance fees must be paid at the time of entry. It should be noted that no refunds would be made to any competitor withdrawing after acceptance. All entries must contain the Golf Link number or a verified handicap record for each player. 4: RULES: The competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by the R&A Rules Limited, together with such local rules as are enforced on the course over which the competition round is being played. If any dispute arises on any point, the Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee’s decision shall be final. In addition, all players are required to adhere to the association’s code of conduct for the duration of the event. 5: DRAW AND STARTING TIMES The Patterson River GC Junior Open Committee will make a draw. The Committee has the power to amend the draw or substitute another player for any competitor who is not at the tee at the time appointed to play. It may also alter the starting time for any player. However, it is a condition of the competition that if a player arrives at their starting point within 5 minutes of their starting time, a 2 stroke penalty will be applied. 6: HONORARY MEMBERS: Competitors will be made honorary members of Patterson River Golf Club for the day. 7: PRACTICE: Any arrangements for a practice round MUST be made with the PRGC Proshop. 8: PACE OF PLAY: Rule 6-7 will be strictly enforced. Each group must maintain its position on the course with respect to the group preceding them. Any group with a clear hole in front of them will be considered out of position. Penalties will be issued to individuals in such groups who by their pace contribute to such delay. Warnings may not be issued prior to penalties. 9: DRESS STANDARDS: Players and caddies must observe the dress standard and any course requirements of the club. These dress standards include no denim, collared tshirts, tailored shorts and predominantly white socks. Only soft- spike golf shoes may be worn on the course.
