PAY GRADE: 29E DEADLINE: August 17, 2017 Position Summary: The Recruitment Specialist provides support with the international promotion of ELI programs and travels overseas extensively to recruit students, with particular focus on Central and South America. This includes contributing to the development and execution of marketing campaigns; participating in international recruitment events; meeting and training recruitment agents; and supporting ELI online communications, including social media, e-mail marketing, and website updates. This individual reports to the Assistant Director of ELI Admissions.

Major Responsibilities: Responsible for student recruitment in Central and South America. Promotes ELI programs in international recruitment events, such as study abroad fairs, presentations and seminars, workshops, webinars, etc. Establishes relationships with and provides training to international recruitment agents. Develops relationships with in-country high schools and universities to establish regular flows of students into ELI programs. Provides market feedback to ELI Marketing Committee to guide decisions regarding marketing strategy (50%). Responsible for creating and executing elements of ELI communications, including: development of content and updates for ELI websites; distributing the ELI’s Agent Express e-newsletter; creating e-mail campaigns; generating content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.). Generates and analyzes metrics on the above communications channels in order to guide communication strategy with the Assistant Director of ELI Admissions. (25%) Provides logistical support to Assistant Director of ELI Admissions with planning recruitment travel (ex: arranging brochure printing and shipments, hotel and flight reservations, etc.). Assists with registration and planning for fairs and other recruitment events. (10%) Responds to general inquiries about ELI programs and links potential students and agents to the ELI Admissions Office in order to ensure yield of the potential student. (5%) Assists with the design of ELI print and digital marketing collateral. (5%) Executes regular content updates of the ELI’s profile on various websites (ex: StudyUSA, IIE, etc.) as well as on special social networking sites (ex: EduFindMe, Mezun.com, etc.). (5%)

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, International Business, Foreign Languages, TESOL, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. Work experience in a university setting or ESL center is desirable. Strong technological skills. Individuals with experience using the following applications are preferred: MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word; MailChimp; WordPress; Facebook; Instagram; Twitter; YouTube. Some graphic design skill is preferred. Exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to multi-task, to problem-solve, to prioritize, and to work independently. This person must be a self-starter. Strong communications skills required, both oral and written. Public speaking skills are a must. Foreign language skills highly preferred. Ability to communicate with non-native English speakers in a manner in which they can understand.
