VOLUNTEER F.A.Q. Volunteering for The Phillips Backyard Weekender
This summer, come join us for Victoriaʼs ultimate backyard party. Every summer the crew at Phillips Brewing Company open up their yard for a weekend of amazing live music, fresh sudsy brews, and delicious local food trucks. The Weekender stage has hosted some memorable sets from acts like Charles Bradley and His Extraordinaires, The Original Wailers, Holy F*ck, Cat Empire, De La Soul, and many more. Behind the success of the festival is an amazing crew of volunteers and without them we truly could not do what we do. If you love live music, having fun, working hard, and being a member of a tight-knit and supportive community, then volunteering with the Phillips Backyard Weekender might be the perfect fit for you!
The Phillips Backyard Weekender Volunteer Timeline
1. Fill out the online application form through our Shiftboard website. 2. Once your application has been approved, you will be placed on to teams based on your interests and previous experience. 3. Available volunteer shifts will be posted to the calendar in Shiftboard and YOU get you pick the shifts you sign up for. 4. Closer to the festival, you will attend a volunteer orientation, sign a volunteer contract, and a waiver. 5. Come to the festival, sign-in and pick-up your t-shirt, rock your shift, and have an amazing time volunteering at The Phillips Backyard Weekender! 6. After the event, you will be invited to an exclusive volunteer appreciation party.

VOLUNTEER F.A.Q. What we expect from our volunteers
-to commit to and complete 12 volunteer hours during the festival -to show up 10 minutes early for shifts -to wear the volunteer t-shirt while on shift -to be respectful, to not consume alcohol or other substances while on shift, to ask questions and voice concerns, and to be a positive ambassador for the festival
As a volunteer, what you can expect from us
-a full festival wristband -an exclusive 2015 Phillips Backyard Weekender volunteer t-shirt -an invite to the volunteer appreciation party -the education and training needed to succeed in your volunteer role
