The benefits of this new strategic direction are now bearing fruit for Pensar, their employees, suppliers, subcontractors and now the Cairns community. “With three distinct yet integrated divisions, Pensar offers the capability and dependability of a large group, with the flexibility and responsiveness of a boutique operation providing multiple solutions with a single point of contact,” says Pensar Construction Group’s chief operating officer Clinton Thorp. “With an unwavering commitment to project objectives, stakeholder requirements and industry standards, Pensar delivers.” To complement the company’s technical diversification, Pensar has also grown in terms of geographical reach. “On the back of successful projects delivered to the Department of Transport and Main Roads in the Far North — including the slope stabilisation and road works on the Captain Cook Hwy, Kuranda Range and Kennedy Hwy — Pensar has now established its first regional office for future operations across all business units: civil, building and utilities,” says Clinton Thorp.

The new office is centrally located in Cairns and will be under the management of Adam Porter, Pensar’s North Queensland regional manager. “Born and raised in the north, Adam Porter joined Pensar’s Brisbane office in 2007 as a project engineer, working his way up to the position of project manager — infrastructure in 2011,” says
Clinton. “Since 2012, he has worked on Pensar’s projects in and around Cairns. “In 2014, Adam was promoted to his current position as North Queensland regional manager, a leadership role created for him to oversee Pensar’s growing project work in the region and to build a team of capable local workers.”
The new office serves as a permanent base for all office and field staff to assist with the delivery of infrastructure, urban, building and utilities works. The company is currently tendering a variety of works across all business units from slope stabilisation and seawalls to switchboard replacements and upgrades right through to
