Shift: Day Shift Times: Sunday & Monday from 8:00am–3:00pm; Tuesday from 8:00am–2:00pm Hourly Wage Rate: $19.77 - $23.04 Benefits: Eligible for 100% employer paid perks! Employees also enjoy: • 3 weeks paid vacation, prorated annually • paid statutory holidays • generous leave benefits • frequent training opportunities Job Classification: Unique, Grid 12 Union: BCGEU Collective Agreement: Community Social Services Job Summary The Scheduler is responsible for the timely coordination of shift schedules, call-outs, vacation and sick replacements, entering and reviewing payroll timesheets. The incumbent will provide timely coordination and monitoring of shift schedules, call-outs, absenteeism, vacation and sick replacements using the collective agreement and the accurate entering and reviewing of payroll data. This position also compiles, tracks, and reports on various staff and client statistical data. Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years related payroll, administrative, and reporting experience. Required to have an intermediate level of experience in Word, Excel, and other database related software. Business and Administration degree/certificate preferred. Knowledge and experience working in web-based payroll software an asset. Required to complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of employment. Skills & Abilities • Demonstrated ability to build respectful relations with all staff and supervisors. • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn to use web-based data entry software and provide technical support. • Demonstrated ability to work with detailed information for prolonged periods of time. • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality given personal privacy legislation and sensitive information. • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and consensus build, and be positive and work well with others. • Demonstrated experience working with colleagues in a mature, professional manner. • Experience working in a unionized non-profit setting an asset. • Experience and attention to detail and accuracy. • Demonstrated ability to work within deadlines and manage priorities.
